Envision yourself as Russell, Elliot, or Catalina. Describe how you would feel and react to the bullies in the story.
If I was Catalina I would do one of two things: either ignore them or fight back and stand up for myself. I would probably ignore them for a while and just keep it bottled up then finally just crack and stand up for myself. I'm sure I would be scared to stand up for myself but they would be treating me like I wasn't their equal. Or even a person for that matter. I just wouldn't be able to stand that at all. In the end if that didn't work I would just beg my parents to take me back to my home country and not leave me where people hate me. I like how Catalina just ignores what Bethany says and the way she responds is the letter (page 70). To me, to write that letter must have taken courage. A lot of courage.

I think you did a really good job at backing up your reasons, like when you took an example from the book about when Catalina ignores what Bethany sais. I also agree that it takes a lot of courage to ignore someone who bullies you. I only have one suggestion work on more examples from the book. Good job!
